Information we process

• Account information: your email address and an internal account identifier.
• Alarm and briefing choices: alarm labels, schedules, topics or prompts, timezone, language, voice and length settings.
• Subscription information: your plan, product identifier, transaction identifiers, status and expiry. Apple or Google processes payment details; we do not receive your full card information.
• Service usage: weekly briefing counts, product steps such as account confirmation, alarm creation, briefing completion, plan views and purchase attempts, and structured reliability measurements such as latency, source coverage, freshness, confidence and error categories.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, store and schedule your alarms, generate requested briefings, speak those briefings, verify subscriptions, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse and keep the service reliable. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Product-step events use your internal account identifier. They can include the app platform, app version, plan, coarse topic category and coarse language group. These events do not include your email address, raw prompt, alarm label, briefing text, payment details or store transaction token. We use this first-party data to find where users have difficulty and to measure whether product improvements work.

AI, search and service providers

To provide a fresh briefing, your chosen topic or prompt and relevant settings, including timezone when needed for local information, are sent through our secure backend to search and AI service providers. At the date of this policy these providers include Brave Search for current sources and OpenAI for briefing generation. Supabase provides authentication, database and backend infrastructure. Apple and Google process purchases on their respective platforms. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

To monitor briefing quality, a limited sample and briefings showing reliability warning signs may be evaluated automatically using the prompt, generated briefing and sources already used. These are processed transiently. The monitoring record does not retain email addresses, raw prompts, full briefing text or source text.

Storage, security and retention

Information is encrypted in transit. We retain account and alarm information while your account is active, and transaction records as needed for subscription administration, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Briefing text may be stored temporarily on your device or account to operate the feature and can be cleared from the briefing screen. Structured quality-monitoring events are retained for approximately 90 days, while aggregate cost records may be retained longer. Product-step events are linked to your account and are removed with account deletion, subject to limited records we must retain for legal, security or transaction purposes. No internet service is completely risk-free, but we use reasonable safeguards.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or remove alarms in the app, clear a generated briefing, and initiate permanent account deletion from the app. Account deletion removes your AiWake account and associated alarm data, subject to limited records we must retain for legal, security or transaction purposes. Deleting AiWake does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription; manage that subscription in the App Store or Google Play.

Children

AiWake is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International processing and changes

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the date above when we do.
